Tenez, en répondant à ses fans, Terry Brooks évoque le prochain tome !

Jeremy Petersen writes: Dear Mr. Brooks, at this point while you are busy writing another book, do you have any idea what you might call the new Landover novel or what it might be about?Terry Brooks replies: The new Landover has a title, but I am not giving it out quite yet, Jeremy. This is due to the fact that several of my latest titles did not meet with my publisher's approval, and I am worried that giving them out early jinxed them. As for the story, it centers around Mistaya, the daughter of Ben Holiday and Willow. You will meet some new villains, encounter some old friends, and maybe get a new take on what happens when you don't think you fit in.

Roman terminé, et sortie l'année prochaine... Enfin un inédit !Terry Brooks a écrit :All that said, I should point out that the next book is a Magic Kingdom book, and the entire story is completed in that one volume. I won't promise what I plan to do after that, except that you can expect more singles and more sets. Try to be patient with me.

Le prochain tome s'intitulera "Une Princesse de Landover". :)Et certains fans sont tout de même assez curieux, dans tous les sens du terme.

Questions/réponses sur le site officiel de l'auteur a écrit :Patrick Bishop writes: Hi Terry, in Magic Kingdom For Sale—Sold! you give rather explicit directions to the trail that leads to the forest tunnel into Landover. I spent about 10 minutes on Google Earth tonight mapping out 20 miles on Skyline Drive south of I-64 and came to a couple of "turn-arounds" similar to the one described in the book. Did you ever really do any hiking around there, and if so, what did you find that inspired you to make that particular route the one into Landover? Happy New Year to you!Terry Brooks replies: Well, Patrick, you have been busy. Such an industrious effort deserves a reasonable answer. I was a student at Washington & Lee School of Law back in the late 1960s. I drove Skyline Drive many times, and hiked back into the mountains from various points, including the ones you mention. So I had a very specific idea of the place and look I wanted to capture in the story. Because Magic Kingdom for Sale, and in part the entire series, is autobiographical (metaphorically), I wanted the story to reflect that. It was at W & L that I began work on The Sword of Shannara. Magic Kingdom is about my transition from being a full-time attorney to a full-time writer. It really all began with Sword. You can fill in the rest.

Oui, c'est assez étrange en soi. ;)Et même pas besoin d'attendre le 1er avril pour la couv anglaise et son résumé !

Princess Mistaya Holiday hasn’t been fitting in too well at Carrington Women’s Preparatory. People don’t seem to appreciate her using her magic to settle matters in the human world. So when she summons a dragon to teach a lesson to the snotty school bully, she finds herself suspended. But Mistaya couldn’t care less — she wants nothing more than to continue her studies under Questor the court magician and Abernathy the court scribe. However, her father Ben Holiday, the King of Landover, has rather different plans in mind for her. He thinks he’ll teach her about perseverance and compromise by sending her to renovate Libiris, the long-abandoned royal library. How horribly dull. But before long, Mistaya will long for the boredom of cataloguing an unfeasible number of derelict books — for deep within the library there lies a secret so dangerous that it threatens the future of Landover itself…

Certains ont un sens de l'humour vraiment déviant...

Suvudu a écrit :Del Rey Books has released the new cover, featuring the stunning and very talented Paris Hilton! Hilton, who has starred in several low budget films, has signed on for what will be her break out performance to play the role of Mistaya Holiday in the upcoming Universal Pictures movie A Princess of Landover. You may ask how did Paris Hilton become involved in this movie? She is an heiress who has no need for money.Turns out she is a fanatic fan of Terry Brooks and has been since she was a little girl reading about Abernathy and Elizabeth in Wizard At Large. The beautiful waif will play the role of a teenage Mistaya, who must confront a hellish library before it destroys Landover.Terry Brooks couldn’t be happier.“Having an actress the caliber of Paris Hilton will bring this project to fruition, finally, after almost two decades of being in development limbo,” Terry says of the choice. “I think Paris will bring a whole new teenage girl readership to my novels!”
