Est-ce l'un des trois projets mystérieux mentionnées par Martin ? Le magazine Locus a annoncé dans son dernier numéro qu'un livre portant sur le monde du Trône de Fer était en projet.Co-écrit par Elio M. García Jr. et Linda Antonsson (les administrateurs de Westeros), peu d'informations circulent au sujet de ce livre. On sait seulement qu'il devrait être lourdement illustré et qu'il devrait être publié par Bantam (l'éditeur américain de George RR Martin).On retrouvera certainement les derniers portraits d'Amok, ainsi que quelques pans d'histoire de Westeros...

And to appease all those who come to my site mainly for updates about A DANCE WITH DRAGONS... sorry, guys, you're not going to like this news any more than I do, but the last month has been a washout as far as writing is concerned. My home renovations have been very distracting, all sorts of other things have been breaking or demanding my attention, there were tax records to prepare for my accountant (I had to take an extension last April), and it seems as if every day has been full of crises and interruptions. I do hope the worst is behind me, however, and that I can plunge back into the book when I get back from LA. I need to make certain that September is a more productive month than August. I do intend to continue to speak out on political issues from time to time, but perhaps not at such length as I have these past few days. It has been fun, and invigorating, and even enlightening in parts, but it takes time and energy, and just now I need to save most of my time and energy for A DANCE WITH DRAGONS and WILD CARDS and my myriad other publishing projects, old and new.

Le terme français est "surmené".Ce n'est effectivement pas une très bonne nouvelle pour les fans, mais j'imagine qu'on n'est jamais à 100% sur de longues périodes "à fond dans l'écriture", les contingences de la vie réelle vous rappelant à elle régulièrement... Pouah, les bonnes excuses, tout ça parce qu'il est allé à sa convention pour s'acheter des figurines de chevaliers en plomb !!! Bref...personnellement, je trouve ça plutôt sain qu'il ait une vie à côté et plutôt amusant la manière dont il en évoque tous certains détails dont on se fout franchement, disons-le :PTout ça pour dire que perso, je ne pense pas qu'un mois fasse une très grande différence à ce niveau, je reste confiante, ça prendra le temps que ça prendra...Thys

Soit il est d'un optimiste à toute épreuve, soit il est un tantinet démagogue. Oui mais non, de toute façon GRRM ne va pas faire aussi long que pour AFFC vu qu'il avait dû s'y reprendre à plusieurs fois pour attraper le bon bout de l'histoire ; pour ADWD il l'a déjà largement terminé pour la plupart des histoires alors je préfère lui donner le bénéfice du doute et si Martin finissait son tome 5 à la date annoncée rien que pour montrer à Gillo de quoi il est capable? B)P.S. Et ne pas avoir lu AFFC, c'est très mal!!!!

Si c'est ça qu'il appelle se consacrer entièrement au prochain tome...Right now I'm trying to finish A DANCE WITH DRAGONS, working on a breakdown of the contents and art required for THE WORLD OF ICE AND FIRE, editing the new Wild Cards book INSIDE STRAIGHT and writing my own story for same, beating out an outline for a comics project with John J. Miller, trying to stay on top of the various Ice & Fire spinoffs from Subterranean Press, Fantasy Flight Games, Testor's, DBPro, Avatar Comics, and several other licenses, dealing with the aftermath of the Byron Preiss bankruptcy auction, trying to extricate my RPG rights from the collapse of Guardians of Order, living through major home renovations.
Et il parlait de la fin de l'année!! Il dit cela le 8 novembre...la fin de l'année approche...
